Hello and welcome! Here you will find everything that happened this week.

So, let's go!

Now Meta wants to understand... your brain?

Mark Zuckerberg has a new goal: to understand how the brain reacts to different types of stimuli like images, sounds, and language.

With the new AI model TRIBE v2, scientists can show a video and the system estimates which areas of the brain are activated. Think of it like a translator, but instead of translating languages, it translates brain activity.

It might sound simple, but it’s actually a huge step forward. The model has 70 times more resolution and can even predict reactions in situations it has never seen before.

This kind of technology could help researchers study the brain using simulations on a computer, which may speed up discoveries related to diseases like Alzheimer’s and depression.

Fasten your seat belts… teenagers might be able to drive

Congresso Nacional do Brasil is analyzing a proposal that could allow teenagers aged 16 to get a driver’s license.

The idea is to make Brazil more similar to countries like the United States and the United Kingdom, where teenagers can drive with adult supervision.

However, the proposal is facing strong resistance. According to the Observatório Nacional de Segurança Viária, human behavior is the main cause of more than 37,000 deaths per year in traffic accidents in Brazil.
